DFC Corridor

  • A Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) is a high-speed, high-capacity railway network in India built exclusively for transporting goods and commodities, separating them from passenger traffic. Managed by the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Ltd. (DFCCIL), it aims to reduce logistics costs, increase freight speed, and enhance efficiency through dedicated infrastructure.  The DFC reduces logistics costs, boosts industrial competitiveness, and reduces environmental impact by promoting rail transport over road, aiming to increase the rail freight share to 45% by 2030.

Dholera SIR has a junction of DFC with the name of Bhimnath junction in Akru village.
