- Proposed Vande Bharat Metro Corridor to add transport options. The Ahmedabad-Dholera Metro Rail Project is a ~100 km, two-phase high-speed mass rapid transit system connecting Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar to the Dholera Smart City. Part of the DMIC, this project features 61.55 km in Phase 1 and 38.45 km in Phase 2, aiming for enhanced connectivity to the upcoming international airport and industrial hubs. Designed to support high commuter traffic, aiming for approximately 80,000 passengers per hour, with ridership expected to grow significantly by 2031.
Phase 1: Covers 61.55 kilometers (Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar).
Phase 2: Extends 38.45 kilometers from Gandhinagar to Dholera Smart City via GIFT City.
